Home CONFERENCE CENTRE AND AUDITORIUM OF NAVARRE (BALUARTE)
BALUARTE, the Conference Centre and Auditorium of Navarre, was opened at the end of October 2003 and is one of the most modern buildings in Spain. The centre was designed by the architect Patxi Mangado and commissioned by the Government of Navarre in order to meet the region’s need for a venue in which to host conferences, exhibitions and cultural events.
The building, which is located in the centre of Pamplona, has a main auditorium with a capacity of 1,568 people and a concert hall which holds 458 people. BALUARTE has two rooms which are specifically designed for hosting conferences each with a maximum capacity of 390 people. These rooms are equipped with movable partitions to cater for a specific number of participants and all types of meetings. The ground floor includes an exhibition area of 4,800 m². The Rampart Hall, on the second floor, offers a further 1,800 m² of exhibition space and is built around what used to be the bastion of San Anton, from which the complex takes its name. The complex also has two meeting rooms, each with a capacity of 100 people and the 162 m² central Boulevard Room (max. 100 people).
The centre has a café and restaurant, office space available for rental, storerooms, workshops and car parking facilities for 900 cars.
The Conference Centre and Auditorium of Navarre is situated in the centre of Pamplona near the lively shopping and leisure area. Pamplona is a small city of 250,000 inhabitants with good transport links. It is characterised by its many green areas, excellent medical care, its universities, heritage, cuisine and the high standard of living in general.
